Doris de la Chaux

I have always loved taking photos, whether I am travelling or want to capture the beautiful  nature in my home region of Northern Hesse. My talent lies less in the photography technique and more in training my eye for a beautiful motif or a good image section.

In the summer of 2020, I created a few collages with my photos … and then happened to hear about DanaCards through my other big hobby, Postcrossing (www.postcrossing.com). I was excited about the concept and wanted to contribute with some of my motifs. I’m still really happy when one of my motifs is accepted and finds a sponsor.

Nowadays, when I’m photographing some subjects, I have the postcard in mind as the goal – the design is the main focus here and the photography is more of a means to an end. Both have their place and both are fun!

It’s a nice feeling that everyone benefits from it: I am happy when other people like some of my designs, the recipients hopefully enjoy the cards and Karuna Germany can support people in India with the proceeds from the card sales – there can’t be a better win-win concept!
