Christoph Konietzny

Christoph Konietzny is a German composer whose musical journey began at the age of four. Back then, he played his first melodies on the organ at home and received valuable support and guidance from his father. In his youth, he deepened his abilities as an organist in the local church, where he developed his talent.

For many years Christoph devoted himself to covering well-known pieces of music before he started writing his own compositions about two years ago. Since then, he has continuously expanded his knowledge in the fields of composition, arrangement and orchestration through numerous further training courses.

His music is characterized by a multi-faceted style that combines influences from Johann Sebastian Bach, the band Toto, as well as film composers such as John Williams, Hans Zimmer and Joe Hisaishi. In particular the wonderful world of anime music, which has shaped Joe Hisaishi, serves as his inspiration.

Christoph knows how to combine the emotional depth and melodic diversity of this music with traditional and modern elements. This results in unique, atmospheric compositions that touch the heart of both, classical music lovers and fans of contemporary music.

A current highlight in Christoph‘s career is his victory at an international composition competition.

The competition was organized by a prestigious company from The United States, which has digitized Japan’s famous studio orchestra – known for its work in anime films and games – into an ultra-modern virtual instrument library. These virtual instruments allow composers worldwide to integrate realistic and high-quality orchestral sounds into their works, similar to famous composers such as Hans Zimmer do.

Christoph delighted and convinced the jury with an impressive composition that masterfully utilized the possibilities of these digital tools.
